I generally shun restaurants that serve China cuisine as I find their dishes too strong in flavour (too salty and oily). Upon the recommendation of a good friend, I decided to try the food here and was pleasantly surprised. Dishes were tasty, balanced in seasoning and not overpoweringly salty or oily. Even the gong pao chicken dish tasted like the sichuan gong pao chicken that was reminiscent of the authentic Sichuan gong pao I had as a kid. The cold dish had a nice flavour too and didn't have a bitter herb taste like what I've tasted in other China cuisine restaurants.
Service was brisk and efficient, the servers were quick and attentive to our needs. Heard from my friend that there are performances during dinnertime on weekends (Suzhou Pingtan). Will be back! 😋👍🏻

This cuisine is quite new to us, very heavy emphasis on duck and beef.
Dishes were served extremely quickly and waiters were very thoughtful when serving us.
Paid about $146 for 5 pax in total.

The taste of the dishes ordered are similar to the outlet we first ate in Shanghai 五角场outlet. Brings back pleasant memories.

During my first inaugural visit, I noticed the restaurant's ambiance bore a striking resemblance to Dian Xiao Er. The menu featured an enticing selection of duck dishes I opted for both the roast duck and salted duck alongside standout items like the chilli drunken virgin red crayfish (Xiao Long Xia), kampong chicken with crispy sesame in an iron pot, and baked yellow croaker with fresh ginger.
The yellow croaker was a highlight exceptionally fresh and flavorful while the red crayfish delivered a satisfying spice. Service proved attentive; staff promptly replaced plates cluttered with bones or shells, enhancing the dining experience.
Summary:
- ✅ Must-tries: Baked yellow croaker, red crayfish
- ✅ Service: Proactive plate changes, efficient
- 🦆 Duck varieties: Roast and salted options available
- 🏮 Ambiance: Dian Xiao Er-style setting
Ideal for those seeking well-executed seafood and duck dishes with reliable service.
Additionally, they do have VIP seats with 4 pax and lots of seats available.

We went there for birthday lunch. They have set lunch that is value for money. Food was good, especially their Jinling roast duck. We love the environment and their good service.

This is a nice place for a family dinner. It mainly specializes in Nanjing cuisines. The food’s pretty good for a family restaurant. I would recommend the Jinling Roast Duck, Palace Chicken with Pickled Chilli, Poached “Lion Head” meatball, Handmade diced Lotus Root and pork patties and the special shredded Duck fried noodles. Didn’t manage to take photo as we were quite hungry. Try it yourselves.

Not recommended. If you have children, avoid this restaurant, difficult for children to eat, too much bone fragments in all the duck dishes. Some dish too salty. Duck dumpling got bone, not safe. Cashier has poor attitude. Not good. Very bad. GrabPay Dine Out offer is good to use. 15% off. :)

I had a wonderful time dining at Nanking. The food was absolutely delicious full of flavour, well-presented, and clearly made with care.
Some dishes really stood out and left a lasting impression. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, and I genuinely enjoyed the experience.

The abalone and sea cucumber in superior stock is delicious. Lion's head meatball is good, soft and tasty in clear soup but the signature salted duck is a big let down.

Nice atmosphere, Authentic Jiangnan cuisine. They have just refreshed their menu, however, must-try dishes are still those traditional signiture: salted duck, Madam Chiang's Nutritious Beauty Porridge, Seedling in Lotus Starch with Osmanthus, Nanjing Noodles in Light Soy Sauce Broth, Celestial Roast Duck Dumpling... Etc. Btw, we come here almost twice 2 month.
