Rog Rog
Am a customer with Pure salon level 6 at Plaza Sing as I used to visit Tanjong pagar outlet (initially named as Skye organic). So i am a long time customer. Coco was the stylist and love her prompt service, professionalism of handling customers and work under pressure as the salon often only have maximum 2 stylists. Since her leaving, the service standard dropped DRASTICALLY. My first visit after she left, i was attended by a chinese national and a Malaysian manager who dresses well (no specs). The manager dont do anything the whole 2 hours i am there and only sit at recep area and walk around. So my stylist (the chinese national) have to do everything, sometime a bit unsure of the steps but when she cut my hair, 1 side is long, 1 side short. Bad experience. 2nd visit after Coco left: Jolin, Nana (a Vietnamese) and another Malaysia manager (with specs) who have zero customer service level. I called the salon because I am late 10mins for my 11am appointment, and the manager answered, the first reply she gave (那你1pm来咯), I said 我只迟10分钟你就叫我两小时后来? She said : 对呀!因为你迟到啊. After which the manager ‘tried to break the ice’ by chatting with me but keep making impolite replies which i dont want to go further. Jolin on the other hand was very professional and detailed. Treatment and hair cut was nicely done, constantly checking with me on the hair length before she cut away. Good experience with Jolin but very bad experience because of the bad mouth manager. 3rd visit: Nana (Vietnamese) and another also call Nana I think but chinese national who is a stand in from another outlet. Heard the boss was away on leave. Viet Nana was attending to another customer while Chinese Nana that attend to me is clueless to the steps of my treatment. Keep checking with Viet Nana and cannot operate machine as instruction written in English. Lastly, my haircut experience by Viet Nana because the Chinese Nana dont do haircut has got to be my worst haircut i had in many years. I told her my overall hair length has to be longer than her’s (using her hair length as reference) AND has to be longer than shoulder length. But the end result is just longer than shoulder length. Never mind, I can still take it. For fringe, I wanted ‘法式留海’. But since shes Viet and maybe dont understand the lingo, I showed her a pic. She said ‘ok’. She then proceeded to cut the most front part of my fringe till very short while the side fringe is longer, asking me if I am ok. To be clear at this point, my front fringe is short while side fringe is long, not gradual kind. So I told her overall length is ok but not any shorter as it still looks ok because of the side fringe. Then she proceeded to cut from my front fringe which is the shortest point towards where the longer side fringe is and cut it off. The longer side fringe then became much shorter NOT maintaining the overall length I asked for. End result is shorter than the pic and very ugly, not ‘airy’ and heavy. Length aside, the tannic is not there at all. Lack communication. Cannot work under pressure. I was clearly upset but there was no apology when I left the shop, as Viet Nana just stepped away to attend another customer after I said dont cut my hair. Throughout the hair cut, she just snipped my hair away hastily and only check in with me ONCE on the fringe only AFTER she had already cut it. So even if i am NOT OK nothing can be done because is already cut. She did a fast job on my hair as I guess she still need to attend to the other customer who was already unhappy and waiting for her. Overall verdict, this place keep changing stylists so you don’t get consistent service. Could be good especially if you get lousy service this time, one can hope for better next time, should there be a next time. Lack of knowledge between stylists, very lost, lack of interest in hiring quality stylists. Treatment is ok just basic applying cream, massage etc. But if need more professional skills like hair cut or hair colour consider to AVOID this place. I am hoping to finish my package soon and leave this place ASAP.
