Stall has been here for like 20 years.
One of my favorite/ the oldest riverside indo bbq. Of cos, price has been increasing as well, cost $7.02 with fairprice app 10% discount.
The chicken is sweet and salty, well marinated.
Chili is mild spicy, with Ikan Billis. I asked for more.
Curry sauce is not thick/heavy, with strong panda fragrance.
Cabbage is soft and nice.
Soup is sweet and peppery.

For what it's worth, this stall has been around since more than a decade ago, when I was still in school. For them to have survived this long, does mean something.
They may not be the best Indonesian restaurant around, but the Indonesian grilled chicken set is definitely value for money.
Their black sauce, coupled with the curry sauce, is an amazing combination. Add some signature sambal chilli sauce, and you have yourself the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and umami.
I normally add extra vegetables, and I'd get the ayam panggang + sotong panggang set. Add a homemade lime with plum juice, and you have a good lunch meal washed down.

The legendary Riverside Indonesian BBQ has been my staple at Plaza Singapura’s food court since my school days, and I’m glad it stood the test of time, getting through several renovations over the years.
Ayam panggang, ikan panggang, sotong panggang, everything is great! More than a decade ago the egg was served as a huge omelette, which became a small omelette slice, and now it’s a runny sunny side up (which I prefer)
Prices have gone up slightly but portions still large as ever. Very reasonable to be paying under $10 for such a delicious hearty meal in a CapitaLand mall. I’ll be back!

I ate here so many times and i have to say that i am totally addicted. In my opinion, fish tastes better than chicken, problably because i love fish. The black sauce and the chilli sauce is the hightlight of the dish, not even mention the creamy curry sauce with coconut smell. Remember to tell the auntie to deep the fish/chicken 2 times in the black sauce to increase satisfaction, but i forgot about that😂

What to eat at plaza singapura?
The choice is simple. Riverside indonesian bbq.
Located within the foodcourt at level 6 of the mall, this stall has stood the test of time, for more than 2 decades at the same spot.
Back in the days, patrons needed to add vegetables to have a complete meal but today, something has changed. No the taste of the bbq chicken is still good, in fact very very good. What has changed is the omelette had been replaced by sunny side up. Vegetables are now included by default, probably a good balance meal now.
So if you are at plaza singapura, find a seat at the foodcourt and indulge in this amazing indonesian food, which my indonesian friend had introduced me years ago.
