very disappointing .. came at non-peak hours and there was barely anyone there. ended up waiting 20mins for a simple beef udon to come. to make matters worse, the beef was stringy and so tough i felt like a dog eating beef jerky with it getting all stuck in my teeth .. it was so bad it got me questioning my existence. broth was not too bad actually but udon noodles was average, portion size was small given the price too, finished it in less than 10mins and didn't even feel full

Excellent-tasting, reasonably-priced and authentic Japanese food!
We had the Curry Udon with Chicken Katsu, Beef Bento and an ala carte Ebi Tempura.
The curry udon was flavourful and the udon itself was perfectly cooked, slurpy and appropriately chewy. The chicken katsu was simple but well executed, with a good crunch and juicy, tender chicken meat.
The ebi tempura was $2.20 and relatively large in size. The batter was fried to perfection and the prawn’s texture was just right.
As for the beef bento ($12.90) , it was fantastic. The beef was very tender and extremely delectable. The other dishes were wonderful too, especially the half ramen egg and shiitake tempura 😋Even the rice was well seasoned and flavourful!
The quality of the dishes were a pleasant surprise indeed, especially given the affordability and generous portions.
We went on a Friday afternoon around 1pm and the restaurant was 90% full but we were seated within a minute. The ordering and service is no frills but efficient and relatively autonomous since the payment and ordering is done through the website after scanning the QR code on your table.

The food is served quickly and was easy to order through scanning of the qr code on the table. I tried the black garlic tonkatsu udon and it was really nice!!! However, I find their vegetable tempura to be a little lacklustre in taste. Overall it's really quite a nice udon place and I would come again for it's udon, but maybe not for tempura! 😆

Nice chewy cold udon, got the upsize portion and it really was a lot. Hot udon less nice as the noodles got softer the longer they are left in the soup, Tempura mushrooms were pretty fresh. Free sides of corn and seaweed, price is quite affordable for the quality.

A recommendation to all who missed Japan's Udon. Tis is truly Japan's Udon in Singapore. The texture is chewy just rite till desired. The tempura dough is quite rich, for those who desire more crumbs there's an unlimited supply. The sauce station has everything one would need to make yr meal decadent. Recommended item is definitely kakiage, don't miss dat. A+

Udon was chewy as advertised but overall the food was so-so. Didn't find it particularly nice but just comfort food.
Tempura was delicious and fresh. Would recommend a must-try when patronising Tamoya.

Good value udon bowls. Enjoyed their Sanuki Beef Onsen Egg Udon ($12.70); yes, the egg yolk is supposed to be broken. Tasty soup. For added vege, I ordered their tempura kakiage ($2.30). But if u wish to save on that & still get some greens, check out their self-service counter for seaweed & corn, among other toppings. Tissue paper is also found there

The food here is nice and not too pricey. If you like udon they have soft springy udon w soup and you can order sides such as tempura. I ordered the black garlic ramen but I think the udon is more tasty. Food is good and go there during off peak as there is often a queue during peak hours.

Not my first time here. I ate their food since Liang court days. Quality of food remains the same. We realized a few new dish too. Total bills comes to $40+ for 2. Line usually takes 15 min to 45 min long to wait. Definitely worth it
I always wonder is the drinks free as I see no customer taking those tea and water. Being an Asian, we are always afraid to ask. Probably it will help if they put a sign else some might take, some don’t.
Side note: I miss those days where we pick our fried food and over ordered.
